Subscribe to The Marketing Crowd - Discussion Enrolling New Members in my Marketing Club

I'd love to get the group's input on this.

One of my main services is an online "Marketing Club." it includes, an in-depth marketing course, Expert Interviews, a monthly coaching call and other articles and resources.

The link is here: Marketing Club

The monthly fee for the club is $29 with a first month trial for just $9. This was launched at the end of October, 2008, so I've been at it 5 months and I have about 360 members.

Here's what I'm looking for:

  1. What would convince someone like yourself to sign up for such a club? What would I have to include that I'm not including? What would I have to say or not say in the sales letter? What would hold you back from signing up for the Club, etc.

  2. What marketing strategies would you use to get more club members? So far, I've promoted this to my e-list. I've done some teleclasses and webinars.

Any ideas you have would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to get to 1000 members in about a year. That means 60 new members (net) per month.

Many thanks, Robert

    Robert . . .

    Great idea . . . have you considered refernow.com?

I did an article about this program about a year ago and it's an excellent tool / service for doing precisely what you're asking for . . . leveraging your existing clientele to reach out through them and to your new prospects.

If you'd like an introduction to the president of the company, I'll be glad to oblige.

    Keep me posted!

Hi Bill, I think a referral program of some kind is a good idea for current members of the Club. I'm looking at adding some extra services if we can get the Club numbers up somewhat.

Right now, I don't have an affiliate program for the Club but am considering it.

    Thanks, Robert

    Robert,

I took your Fast Track and was quite impressed by the quality and depth of knowledge in the delivery. If this same quality of expertise was offered I would be interested.

Second, there is the level of expertise offered. We all need improvement from the first-time business owner to the seasoned entrepreneur. If there was a ranking mechanism in place, that would be helpful.

Keep me posted. Also, thank you for joining me on Twitter.

    Hi Robert,

What about broadcasting a "preview" call with guest speakers sharing some of your content and ideas (and perhaps a special incentive) for people to sign up for the special trial?

    Best of luck! D'vorah
