I'd like to know what ways you all have to work efficiently from home or outside of your home office. I am looking for ways to keep myself focused and work away from home.

What are your perfect venues, times of day, schedules, suggestions?

Cheers! Suzanne www.ThatWordsmith.com

If I have an MP3 player with me, I can block out most external distraction. Visual distraction can be an issue for me, so cafes that have less hubub are better. I like Louisa's and Victrola Cafe. Voxx has a couch (the school chairs don't inspire me!). I also like working in libraries. I guess it connects back to when I was in high school and college and needed a space to study. Also, I don't feel pressured to vacate a table like I do sometimes in cafes.

For focus, sometimes setting timelines for particular tasks helps me. "I will work on xx project for one hour, and then I'll take a walk around the block." Moving around helps my brain stay fresh too.

    Hope this helps! :)
