See who is linking to your Web site!
To see what other Web sites are linking to yours, go to AltaVista.com and in the search bar, type {link:www.yourwebsite.com} Don't use any spaces or punctuation. You'll surely find some interesting things doing this.
I had a client whose Web site was going slower and slower, I did this trick for her and turned out that a couple hundred MySpace users were linking to copyrighted graphics on her site, and using them as backgrounds for their MySpace pages!
They were not "properly" stealing the images, just linking to them, so her poor server was chugging away providing backgrounds for a ka-jillion MySpace views! The solution: We blocked all requests from MySpace. Things went back to normal.
