When life "happens" it can take you off-guard. Coaching is one way to get help. Life happened to me as well, when I discovered the power of coaching to change oneself. After a quarter of a century as a doctor, I am now coaching.

Patients came to me with odd complaints, especially ones that did not fit text book descriptions, and inquiry and investigations were normal. They then requested tranquilizers and came out with what was bothering them.

This led to my discovery of coaching: it helped some of them transorm into resourceful people instead of victims of hopelessness. I learnt that only those who wanted to change could be helped this way.

So I am a little picky about who I work with as a coach.

I listen without judgment while exploring options with clients. Additionally young professionals have asked me for help in setting up a practice or business, with few of the expected mistakes. Again, this involves listening on my part while they explore various options and decide on systems, niches and operations.

I want to work with successful, high energy people who want a sounding board to reflect ideas on how they can get what's missing, overcome their challenges and also find out what they need not change. Examples include sticking to a fitness program, taking time out for their family, or simply talk about work that they would rather not with their colleagues, since the corporate ladder may be slippery!
