Background - Nearly 20 years of experience as an occupational safety & health manager and industrial hygienist.

My career in the health sciences and occupational safety & health management has developed the following skill set -

1. Knowledge management of information and technological trends through investigation in the virtual and physical realm;
2. On-the-job training in Triage skills to investigate accident sites;
3. Skills that include inter-disciplinary differential analysis and the ability to multi-task;
4. The ability to conduct process safety management audits that have included analyzing piping and instrumentation diagrams and process flow charts;
5. Informal training in emotional intelligence and appreciation for various worker & management perspectives

I am incorporating this background for social entrepreneurship (def.)- A social entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a social problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and manage a venture to make social change. Whereas a business entrepreneur typically measures performance in profit and return, a social entrepreneur assesses success in terms of the impact s/he has on society.

R&D type that is in need of expertise to help transform initial concept papers in object hyperlinking, ubiquitous computing, biomedical engineering and the serious game initiative into formal business plans.
