I'm all about helping people connect. I started Shanghai Networking News (http://shanghainn.com) with the aim of helping people make valuable business contacts around Shanghai, and am looking to expand to other cities in China and around the world. We tell people what's on, what's worth going to and offer general networking know-how, especially helping westerners network with Chinese and vice-versa.

In addition, I'm looking at getting into corporate training, publishing a book and lots of other ways at helping people get the most out of networking.

More background:

After living most of my life in England and New Zealand, I spent several years teaching English around the Greater China region, to both adults and children. This included being shipped to the Gobi Desert for six months by accident, a year in Taipei, a little while in Inner Mongolia and, at present, two years in Shanghai.

Before China Networker, I was an advertising salesman for the biggest expat website in Shanghai (possibly in China), a corporate trainer and a product consultant for a corporate gift company. Other jobs I've had include business development executive for a financial services company and copy editor for an international magazine, as well as brief stints modelling, acting and dancing. [less]
