As a photographer, my job is to capture moments, emotions, milestones and rites of passage. I look for the joy, the community spirit and the pride of life's accomplishments in every face.

The daughter of a sculptor and a photographer, I have been training my photographic eye since childhood. While other children played in the park and the sandbox, I spent many hours in my mother's darkroom. Trained in journalism and psychology, I have spent 17 years listening to people's life stories before translating them into the printed word. The tools for good journalism are not only the ears, but also the eyes and definitely the heart. With these same tools, I trained myself to see all the moments that make up a life story and capture them with a lens.
