What Amy does
I am a chiropractor and craniosacral therapist whose practice is focused on pediatrics and women's health. I work with babies, kids, mamas, and mamas-to-be to balance their bodies and help them both feel and function their best.
What Amy does best
I relate well to my patients because I have been there. My first pregnancy was during my time at chiropractic school. I quickly learned that basic adjusting techniques no longer worked for me, and what modifications needed to be made. I learned first-hand about the many physical challenges of pregnancy and particularly the postpartum time, and discovered how little attention has been given to this population in the research. I have made it my mission to serve these women and help them enjoy this magical time as much as possible, as well as educate other practitioners about the importance of bodywork for moms.
I've also seen firsthand what a holistic approach to healthcare has done for each of my children, and enjoy helping parents find the answers for health issues their children face.
What does Amy need?
I believe in a holistic approach to health, and recognize that I don't not have all the answers any one patient, people are best served by a collaborative approach, and practitioners from other disciplines all have something valuable to contribute. I'd like to find like-minded healing arts practitioners so that we can share ideas and provide more resources for the people we work with.

I graduated from WSCC in 2003, then worked at Portland Chiropractic Group for two years. There I trained under Dr. Elise Hewitt, a board certified pediatric chiropractor. During that time I completed 5 Upledger Institute Seminars in CranioSacral Therapy, and also became a Certified Infant Massage Instructor. In 2005, I left PCG to start my own practice, Whole Mama ~ Whole Child, in NE Portland. I am a regular guest-lecturer at Western States (Pediatrics and Obstetrics classes), and was a contributing author to a new medical textbook entitled "Integrative Pediatrics", edited by Andrew Weil and being published in 2009. I was the first chiropractic student to participate in the Integrative Clinic at the OHSU Center for Women's Health.
