ISO Photo Hosting Site for Client Viewing

Greetings Bizniks!

I have a need for a image hosting site where I can upload the product images I take on my sleuthing adventures so my clients can virtually view what I have found for them when we cannot meet in person to view them on my laptop.

Preferably, a site that is no charge to join and which doesn't require the client to have an account of that site. For example, I loaded my images onto Picasa of Google but it requires the client have a google account. This is not easy and user friendly for my client.

I would create a folder for them and invite them to view it or send them the link to the folder. They could view it whether they had an account on that site, or not.

I don't yet have this capacity with my website. A goal, for sure :) In the meantime....???

What do you recommend?

Converting WMA files from Voice Recorder for CD replay

What software do we use? I found something that said ITunes (we are on a mac) but haven't found good instructions yet for the conversion process.

HELP! Client has a digital voice recorder and no software on her computer to convert files for clients to listen to later.!

Reasons to NOT go into indie biz...(let's laugh at ourselves!)

I was thinking this morning about the learning curves I've been going thru as an indie and had to laugh at myself in the process. Made me think of starting a thread where we could all blow off some stress with a good laugh at our learning curves! Who's game?! :)

I'll start...

Do NOT go into business for yourself IF:

1. You have any issues whatsoever with looking at any or all of your personal demons such as deservability, skill ability, etc. Because they WILL show their ugly faces, OFTEN, until you sit down and have a nice long chat with them. Until then, you'll continue to feel like you're falling on your face, repeatedly and wondering why it hurts so much when you do that. BWAHAHA!

2. You have issues with working LONG hours, like 12-14 hours days, especially when you first start. Eventually, you may achieve the 4 hour work week or something like that, but expect that most likely you'll get sucked in and obsessed with your biz, like most indies. It will become your second, or first, marriage. LOL!

Ok, who's next? heehee.

Moving GMM - again - your input please!

Greetings Greenies!

Our furnishings situation has changed at SPACE - we no longer have them, due to no fault of our own - so we need to change the location of GMM, again. Alas. Unless you want to sit in the red plastic meeting chairs, which personally, I don't.

I would like to support Bizniker Kaili of DaVinci Bakery at 100th and Greenwood but if that is too far north for people, we can move it back to Mosaic at 44th and 2nd in Wallingford.

What is your wish?

Events in Seattle - Where to find all of them?

Greetings Bizniks!

I need to locate all of the events, festivals, etc. in Seattle. No small task, right?

Basically, we at Architecture 5cents (I'm his co-conspirator!) are looking for all the places we can have an Arch5 booth for either one time or repeated appearances. Farmers Markets were our first target - now expanding all over Seattle!

So, any idea where I can look, besides a general Google search, for Seattle events and happenings? I tried Seattle Full Events Calendar and it didn't seem to have the right features for us. We want to see what is happening and when..and who to contact to see if we can get in on the action!

Spring Clothing Swap - Get some, give some, spend none, harm none!

Realizing I wanted some new clothes for spring, and not being able to spend the money on that right now, I realized we could have some great fun doing a clothing swap - both men and women welcome!

Great way to get some new duds, give away the duds you're done with and not spend a single penny! AND, reuse is a form of eco-friendly so we're not harming the planet by reusing what already exists and conserving her resources!

Organize your best life - get your best look! Save the planet AND your wallet!

SO....start going thru your closets and putting things aside! I am hoping to have it by mid May at latest...sooner is better!

I also thought it would be fun to have an image consultant or two there to give some tips and help us out with what looks good and what we could add to it to make it look better! I left message for Darcy Howard's crew. Anyone have another suggestion for a consultant they like?

So there is only a small crowd of y'all on here but I KNOW Napa is loaded with indies...so get to inviting your friends and colleagues!

Change of Location & Time? Please offer input!

We are considering moving the Mastermind to Tuesdays, same time, to be held at SPACE in Greenwood at 76th.

SPACE is the design center I help manage and it makes sense to support our own business places wherever we can.

We would have tea and coffee available and if you want, there are coffee shops 2 blks. either way so you could stop there prior.

We have cozy seating. :)

Would you be able to make Tuesdays, 10-noon?

Do you mind the change of location to 76th and Greenwood?

This change wouldn't occur until April, if we do move it.

Your specialty within your specialty?

One of the recommended things to do for small biz indies is to niche yourself. When people have a more precise idea of who to refer you to, brains start popping. It is the opportunity to become the go-to source for that particular niche.

So, what sets you apart from every other person who does what you do - what is your niche specialty?

Who is your target clientele?

The more specific you get, the easier it is for people to refer you, in addition to the Law of Attraction, which when practiced, the majority of the time, delivers. I always say, "That, or something better!"

What connections do you need?

Is your super team complete? If not, what type of service do you need referral to?

This is a great opportunity to round out your team so you are ready for the full scope of your projects, and then some!

Ask whom you are looking for and if you know of someone that the asker is looking for, answer back!

Your action steps } How are they going?

In the mastermind process, we each select one action to take towards a challenge we are having in our business.

Each action has 3 levels of possibility: easy, medium and hard...in other words, the level of action that would be easiest for us to do, medium, and hardest.

What is the action that you chose at the last mastermind and how is it going for you towards doing it?

• Are you having blocks to taking action?
• Do you need to talk about the process to help you get there?

This is a great forum for us to hold accountability with each other, in addition to our buddy that we "report" to, as well as to help each other through the process, blocks, etc. so that each meeting, we are coming with more success reports and ready to address new challenges!
