  • Sustainable Domains, Hosting and Marketing

I just came across these links for sustainable services: www.sustainabledomains.com www.sustainablemarketing.com

Your usage is offset by the purchase of wind power, etc. with proceeds from the monies paid for the services.

This is huge for those of us wishing to be as sustainable as possible with our businesses...or even if we just want to dip our feet in sustainable waters ;)

Prices are reasonable and decently comparable to other services.

AND you get the usual web building software, etc. with the services too like the other domain, host, etc. sites offer.

Cool beans! or rather, Cool-er Planet! ;)

  • Trying out the blog google-style

Google's blog system seems to be pretty cool. i even got to customize my colors and typefaces which make it sort of like a webpage for me..i'm using this blog specifically for my design business.

not sure how often i'll use it...it's a good place to start though and i can put my portfolio pics up on it too! good for me until i decide what to do and who to go with for a website.

    check it out! http://spiritandsouldesign.blogspot.com/

given the limited choice of type, i am quite pleased with how it turned out!

    feedback welcome, of course!

  • Recommendations for Web Host/Builder??

    Greetings-

It's time to put a website in motion so i seek recommendations...

at current, i am looking for low to no cost web hosting and building tools. my knowledge of html is limited so a build assistant that is easy to work with is much appreciated. i have done a site before and found the build tools incredibly annoying and difficult to work with.

i know some sites are free but the small print says they own the rights to your materials - or something like that - and i want to retain ownership.

perhaps i am only dreaming that this option exists. please feel free to inform me, as i am obviously limited in my information!

blessings and prosperity to all, amy

  • Construction Contractor Needed

    Greetings-

Any recommendations for a contractor? I am doing a design project for a small coffee house and we need a few things done:

Floor leveling - either for pergo install or level with concrete pour/stain.

Counter Revise - Rip out half of existing counter and extend remaining. Add top to existing bases and possibly re-do other bases.

Anticipate this project beginning in the next month or so.

    Thanks!! Amy

  • Apple Powerbook - Experiences? Sellling Yours?

    hi-

finding the increasing need to have my design software/computer on hand vs. the limited use at school. want to make myself an educated purchase of course!

    if you have a powerbook:

how has your experience/satisfaction with it been?

where did you get it? buy there again? if not, where?

where is a great place to get a good deal on a powerbook? - used or new is fine.

lastly, if you are selling yours, i am interested. even more so if you have CS2 installed or avail. for install!!

    thank you for helping!

    cheers, amy
