  • I ended up at BECU and they rock, totally.

Scans your checks in - and reads the dollar amount. No envelope necessary and no making notes on your receipt b/c there is a mini image of your check on the receipt.

    No fees.

Referral gift of $25 to you and the person you refer to bank with them.

    Stellar customer service.

Automatic $500 credit from your checks when you deposit so even if the check will take days to clear, you have access to $500 of it immediately. EVEN NEW CUSTOMERS.

Only thing I have found that bums me out is no customer service on Sat/Sun. Otherwise, couldn't be happier :)

  • Rachel- If you would like to co-host, I would love to! I was going to host a happy hour then I got super busy.

Yes, I do love the unstructured ones. Mona's was a good one and it's up this way.

Also, there is a new restaurant, 4 spoons, in Greenwood. They said they would be interested in hosting happy hours. They aren't open at that hour so it would be by special arrangement. I really like the gal there. She and a colleague started their own place together and it's pretty darn good!

  • Does this link work for anyone? http://picasaweb.google.com/ecokinddesign/Coller?authkey=Gv1sRgCI_A1-P9yozbJg&feat=directlink#

There are 3 options and the one I chose only works for google clients. The "unlisted" option should work for anyone, provided they have the "secret link" - oooo! :P

Thanks for your help! GIve a hey or ney about the linkey workey-ness or workey-not.

  • I can do tip sessions on room design for people - esp if they bring a picture to work with!

I can also give tips about how to improve love in your space or the basics of an eco-friendly bed and why you need what.

It's time for me to put my energies into other business things. I'm excited about the growth of my business - and to leave this group in the very capable hands of Carol and Jessie!

    Thank you everyone :)

  • As one of the original first year members of Biznik (2005), I have to say that it has been, and continues to be, THE BEST $24. I invest in my business every month and business community where I focus my energy.

My business has been through various morphings since I began - I was still a student when I joined - and so much of what has brought me to where I am now is because of the tools, the people, the exposure, the opportunities and so forth.

I just celebrated my 2 year anniversary as EcoKind Design - it took me some time to get a name that fit, and wasn't taken by others (haha). At the beginning of my 3rd year, I am in process of aligning with a national radio show and will be the sole designer for a makeover series. insert my own jaw dropping

This venture will also be helping me craft chapters for my book, and the team at the show is fast becoming another part of my family, holding my hand through this tremendous growth phase, leaping into what I know is possible for myself and had no idea how it would happen.

"Oh my God, Oh my God, Oh my God! THIS is happening to ME!"

They found me on the internet and you can bet that was because of Biznik's SEO ranking, and for what we learn by going to Biznik workshops, reading articles, talking and working with each other.

It's great to see that people with all levels of involvement in Biznik are benefiting in ways pleasing to themselves.

Thank you Kate for taking the time to research how Biznik has benefitted you in just one year, and for taking the time to share it with us all. Personally, I think it's a no-brainer - if you're indie, you need to be a Biznik!

    Blessings to all!

  • Ways to afford services you don't yet have the funds for yet:

    • Hire an intern through one of our many schools here. Internship is required for many graduates.
    • Pay them with dibits! www.dibspace.com
    • Arrange another kind of trade direct with an assistant.

Super exciting - come check it out folks! It's sure to be a great time!

  • It also sounds like a repeat to me of Girl Power Hour so I would want to know how it would be different?

My time is so limited these days so I am throwing myself in events here and there - running around crazy taking care of clients. I may be able to participate - always willing to donate a certificate to drawings for door prizes. :)

Best in whichever way you go!

  • Never really thought about what a rolfer "should" look like. Seems to me, whatever allows you to manipulate the body the way you need to.

If you can do that in skirts and dresses, sounds good to me!

  • Of course I will share! :)

I do an initial complimentary 30 minute consultation that allows myself and the potential client to get a feel for each other's persona, as well as learn about how I work and what their needs are, etc.

I have approx. an 85-95% conversion rate. Most of the time if people get me as far as into their spaces, I am on board for their project. Some post pone due to budget issues that come up and then we stay in touch at a date down the road when they might be ready.

Continuing to attract the clients I want and love to work with is definitely something I want to expand on and learning how to do introductory sessions that are paid would be FABULOUS!

Thank you for the webinar link. I learn better in person so I'll wait for the next event you two produce!

  • Very interested in this workshop. I have a rather good conversion rate - however, it isn't 100% so room for improvement. And attracting more of the best clients to work with :)

I have a conflict with this one. Time slot and day is great for me so I would love to attend a future date!
