I am a seasoned technology leader with broad experience building and leading software development organizations with a particular focus on web based solutions. I spend my time rapidly delivering cost effective solutions to real business problems emphasizing technology's strategic benefit to the company.

When I say broad, I do mean broad. I can configure a load balancer, write a SQL stored procedure, document a functional release, architect a scalable solution supporting hundreds of thousands of concurrent users, create an animation, or simply sit back and sip some coffee while dreaming up the next big killer feature for a business. I've led teams as large as 150 people and managed budgets in excess of $5 million. I prefer to apply my abilities in small, young companies where the breadth of my skills can be leveraged to help shape, guide, and build a roust and profitable business. Start-up is in my blood.

My most rewarding experiences have been in helping to mold software engineers guiding them professionally and challenging them to produce the best work of their careers. I relish the interchange that occurs at the whiteboard as ideas fly and solutions are crafted. The synergistic effect produces something far greater than the original concept every time. Yes, I do love what I do!

I have over 20 years of experience in the technology field having produced my first commercial application as a Sophomore in High School - way back in 1982. Since then, I've earned a BA in International Relations from USC with a minor in Naval Studies. I've traveled the world as a P-3 NATOPS Instructor pilot for the United States Navy. I've learned countless life lessons from my 5 children. And I've worked for a number of companies, large and small, developing an innate sense for what works and how to produce it.

VP Engineering - Apex Learning developing online education resources for the US K-12 market. This company was a complete restart from both a business and a technology perspective.

Director of Product Development - ImageX developing a new business line which ultimately enticed Kinkos to acquire the company.

Group Technical Program Manager - Amazon leading the holiday scaling effort, Partners@, Toys R Us and a variety of other projects.

CTO - Brandfly developing one of the first promotional marketing campaign visualization and management solutions.
