A hyperimage is an image, either online or on disk, that you can dive into with your mouse. I love to mouse-over images and click on them! To me, that's one of the things the mouse was made for. And the web is a great distribution mechanism. But I couldn't find a simple product/service for the non-geek to create hyperimagery. And the web is a great distribution mechanism. But I couldn't find a simple product/service for the non-geek to create hyperimagery. I've used Dreamweaver to make an interactive map for a school project, but it was not simple. It took days. I've yearned for an online, turnkey service for the non-technical person. So MapMate was conceived.

I attracted some outstanding programmers to the project, and we debuted the site in mid-July 2007.

Content created with MapMate can be viewed by all popular browsers (Internet Explorer 6&7, Firefox, and Safari).

To create content with MapMate, you'll need Firefox. It takes a few minutes to learn, but it's quite fun to use. And it makes delicious webpages!
