  • Special Offers Forum

In the description for the general forum, it says "Save blatant commercial pitches for the special offers forum." The link goes to a dev.biznik.com address, which you need a username and password for. I'm not sure if this should be linking to the promotions forum or if it is a supporting-members-only thing.

  • Getting the word out!

    Hey all-

So I was trying to think of ways to promote my soccer product reviewing website (ReviewSoccer) and get the word out. The first few things I came up with here:

    • Telling all my soccer-playing friends about it (duh!)
    • Lots of SEO
    • Telling friends that live in other towns to spread the word
    • Posting helpfully on Yahoo Answers and including a link to our site
    • (Possibly) Emailing the MLS (Major League Soccer) and my home team, the Revolution, telling our story and asking if there's anything they can do to help
    • Posting on Biznik and asking for help!

So any ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Regards, Andy

  • Greetings from a teenage entrepreneur!

Hey all! As a way of introducing myself, I'm going to share a little anecdote:

So a couple teenagers were chatting on IM, and an idea came up.

"Hey, so wouldn't it be pretty sick if we could make a website about reviewing soccer stuff?"

"Yeah, actually, that's a great idea! And we could get an affiliate program to make money from selling the products!"

"I'll try to get a few more people to write reviews. We can't do it all by ourselves..."

"Yeah, that sounds great. I'll start fleshing out a preliminary design."

    "Sweet. Talk to you later."

And it just took off from there. A month or so later, the site is up (at http://www.reviewsoccer.com), and there are a couple people writing reviews. All it took was an interest in soccer, website design and development experience, and an idea to set it all in motion.

One of those kids is me.

I'm Andy Bromberg, and I'm a teenage entrepreneur.
