  • Najat, I may not make it as I have a heating engineering coming to the house tomorrow morning as the furnace has broken. If he is quick I will get there as quickly as I can - it will takes me about 20 minutes so would be about 30 minutes late. If that does not work, just let me know. Thanks.

  • This was a really interesting and good group of women - the guys were all a no-show - and we had excellent square table talk and exchange.

Look forward to meeting up again in November.

  • Sorry to cancel late but two very elderly people need help and the retirement home is insisting on it being done immediately.

  • This was a wonderful walk. Really good exercise and a beautiful garden to walk, smell the roses, and then reach and stretch. Just a great evening.

  • This was a great morning for a walk around Seward Park and I thoroughly enjoyed my walk, conversations and meeting new people.

Thank you John, for organizing it.

  • This walk is wonderful. Karen's grounding and stretching starts the morning off right and the walk and talk with the people there is just the right recipe to make the day brighter.

  • Awilda,

I think I sent mu comments directly to you instead of using this space.

This program was illuminating. Listening to what others had to say and hearing your assessment and advice gave me food for thought and growth. It was an absolutely terrific event If the rating only goes to 10 it was a 10 PLUS.

Thank you for your insights and time.

  • I joined Biznik last year but have only just moved to Seattle. In San Diego I co-founded a non-profit organization - Cancer Angels San Diego - whose mission is to provide financial assistance for basic needs (rent, utilities, food, etc.) to those with Stage IV cancers for as long as it is needed.

The woman who has shared my home in California has battled Stage IV breast cancer for the last 8 years and I have seen first hand the emotional stress of living with cancer and with having run out of money.

I am researching if a similar organization exists in Seattle that I could join. If it does not I may well work to find people to join me in founding one.

The American Cancer Society estimates that at least one third of cancer patients suffer devastating financial hardship. I have seen it first hand.

In the meantime I am looking at other organizations to volunteer my time.

  • Your story is amazing. It is these "small miracles" around the world - including in the povery stricken areas of this country - that demonstrate the power of the right word at the right time.

  • I like the Urban Bloomers - you can also have other kinds of bloomers as time goes on.

I like Eco-intimates too but that could be limiting unless all your products are eco friendly. I have lots of clients and friends who only buy eco friendly products and usually begin their research because of the name suggesting the products are eco friendly.
