  • Thank you, Elke, for this always-needed reminder of keeping the sacred tied in with all our activities, be it business or personal or both. Working from my home studio as a designer and illustrator, this has become clearly necessary for both peace of mind and creative inspiration! The wall of windows lets the light flow in, but it's the ocean-blue walls and the colorful paintings created at a sacred arts retreat that let the energy and inspiration flow in! Abundance in our surroundings invites abundance in every other aspect of our lives.

The colorful paintings on my studio wall, by the way, were created at a wonderful retreat led by Hannah who posted earlier in this thread! Her art workshops are intensely inspiring, and have helped me and many others to set abundant intentions and bring them into the world in a loving and creative way.

I'll be giving my studio a gentle makeover this weekend thanks to all the wonderful comments posted here!

  • Fantastic exercise! Just having been through a poetry workshop with haiku as part of the day, this was especially fun to cruise on...

  • And a vigorous second to your positive attitude Emily! One thing I've tried to do, and hope is catching, is to recommend fellow small business owners, particularly fellow designers, when I'm approached for jobs that just don't seem to fit what I do. This not only fosters positive relations with colleagues, but hopefully transforms the image of competition to one of cooperation/coexistence.
