Dear Small Business Owner in Seattle - Folks who gross 50K-80Kplease read and reply
Dear Small Business Owner,
There is new proposed legislation in the 2008 City of Seattle Budget that will
reduce the taxes paid for businesses grossing between $50,000 and $80,000
annually. Currently, only businesses with revenues above $50,000 are required
to pay business license tax. This new legislation will allow businesses with
revenues of up to $80,000 to be exempt from this tax. This change has the
potential to save business owners grossing between $50,000 and $79,999 between
$174 - $332 per year, depending on the nature of their business.
We are currently looking to talk with business owners who would benefit from
this change and who might be interested in testifying at a public hearing on
October 10th at 5:30 pm in support of it. Please contact me at
tina.vlasaty@seattle.gov or (206)684-3348 to discuss your availability and
interest in helping to support this proposal.
Sincerely,
Tina Vlasaty
