Speaking of good marketing, Jessica where's your picture?

  •

I'ld say for any business to be a good business that company must be good at marketing. Does the guy at the top that gets all of the credit have to be a good marketer? No. This discusion seems to have two different aspects to it though. Jessica you seem to be speaking about a small business owner mostly a one person shop. if your flying solo it going to be a lot harder to be successful if you aren't a good marketer. A larger business can be run by some one that is a good businessperson but not a good marketer if that organization has a good marketing plan executed by the right people. Art T.

Matt, the other companies that I have found that do what you do also sell new cell phone plans. You might want to speak with the phone companies about how those franchising deals work. They will most likely have a format that you should follow. Art T.

Berry that invoicing product is duplicated with a few other gateway service providers. So you could have all of that without the higher paypal percentage rates and typically much better funding. Art T.

Knowingly posting false information is unethical; regardless of an individuals' opinion. I have a feeling its also illegal at this point to do that. If you're a marketing firm and clients ask you to do things like that you need to say no. Any other answer would undermine your company and industry. Art T.

John, my ideas about personal liability are mainly about his graphics business not incurring as many risky situations as say maybe a construction business or a taxi cab service. Art T.

Business entity is more about money then liability. I recently formed a corporation to save on taxes but in 10years plus of business I've never been sued. Talk to your tax accountant about this one before you move forward. Art T.

I found nothing pornographic about that slide show. I'ld hate to see Biznik begin to censor information like that. His business is legal and appropriate. Some one might log on and need a service like that and be happy they found him.

I've never heard of social media working as a direct sales toll. Social media has worked for me and other that I know. We've generated sale and made other valuable contacts. Normally a direct sales approach on social media is seen as tacky. Art T.

Hey, George, I've been on this site for a long time and I call tell you that the users are primarily small business people. Since its free however there is no way to track big business people logging on or just visiting and gleaning information for themselves. In fact that's part of the appeal of Biznik. Participation on Biznik drives the site and boosts your profile on the search engines. The idea here follows a simple method; contribute, participate, and grow. Others gaining benefit is the point. Just use Biznik the way you want and everything will be ok. Art T.

I guess I didn't clarify; you need to have business cards. I'll pass out business cards like candy on Halloween. That other stuff is expensive though. You can have it but you need to make sure it gets into the right hands and its good (Dennis's point). Art T.
