What Atta does

My passion is to provide a safe, provocative place where an individual, couple, or group can come together and enter a therapeutic process in order to more fully engage in their lives. This process involves dealing with paradox: allowing oneself to sit where multiple seemingly opposite truths exist together. Each truth lending an emotional force that can either allow one to live more life more fully or to be caught in ambivalence.

My desire is to work with highly functioning people who desire to live more fully. I specialize in dealing with relational issues. These issues can range from being unsatisfied with life and where life seems to be leading to dealing with complex emotional, spiritual, sexual, verbal and physical abuse. I deal with marital problems and divorce, family dynamic issues, and feelings of helplessness in life and love. I work with people of all sexual orientations, religious beliefs, and gender. I am a LGBTQ and Polyamory friendly therapist.

What Atta does best

I bring openness to sessions and desire to bring the client(s) to a place where they are more fully who they long to be. The space we enter together comes with the invitation to be uncensored. My goal is for a person to grow in their understanding of their face (who they are) by therapeutically addressing the past, present and future. Particular emphasis will be given to the present moment in order to identify ones feelings and emotions. This is key to change.

Education

I graduated with my Master of Counseling in 2000. Union Therapy began shortly there after. I am a LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), MHP (Mental Health Professional), CMHS (Child Mental Health Specialist) and I have a MDiv (Master of Divinity).

Experience

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.

I have been in private practice since 2002.
