A Smart and Spiritual Business Model
Approaching your business from a spiritual mindset can increase your financial flow.
In this economy, we're all looking for ways to make ourselves recession-proof. Good business does not generally mean ignoring one's spiritual self; indeed, if money is just a physical (or symbolic) representation of an exchange of energy, the more spiritual you are in your business, the more financial flow you will have. When you are in alignment, everything flows, plain and simple. The Universe does not intend for you to be in lack.
How does this translate into practical terms?
Be creative in how you approach challenges. Einstein said, "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it." If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting. Toss those traditions and old ideas out the window! Let yourself be inspired! If that means reading books, going to lectures, seeking out a life coach, or meditating -- do it. There is always another way to do things. Look for all of the facets of an issue, not just the ones that your fearful negative ego puts in your view.
Be aware. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Pay attention to how you use your resources, and where those resources come from. The more conscious you are of the materials you are using, the more conscious you are in your work, and the more sustainable your work becomes. Think of it this way - if you use up your resources, it's going to be that much harder to find more. Sometimes, this means making sure your resources are as local as possible, so as to not be wasteful, or eve to support your local economy so it supports you in return. Sometimes, this means being aware of the policies and practices of those who supply your resources and making ethical decisions based on that information.
Be of service. Just as important as how you present yourself to your employer and your customers is how you relate with those for whom you are responsible. If you can remember that we are all human beings, your worklife becomes more than a job and has the potential for real enjoyment. One of the ways to support this is to have a mindset of "how can I be of service?"
Personalize what you're doing. If you can create a personal connection with your employees and your customers, you add value to what you do. Value increases loyalty. If you remember and connect to the humanity of every person you deal with, this one just flows. When you're dealing with human beings rather than numbers or files, you remember to connect with them.
Be in abundance. Either the Divine is everything or it is nothing, because what could be bigger? Lack is merely the illusion of the absence of the Divine. That illusion is created by the negative ego to keep you in paralysis, to keep you from growing. This is one of the great struggles that will actually make you spiritually strong. From a practical standpoint, when one of us prospers, we all prosper, because money is about flow. Being in abundance means being in a spirit of cooperation, of helping people who follow you grow and prosper, of sharing resources and information where appropriate. These things will naturally attract more abundance to you. Would you rather buy something from someone who is anxious, rigid and fearful or someone who is relaxed, confident, and giving?
Play to win. It assumes the possibility of success. When you are in this mindset, you will naturally make better decisions, find more solutions, and you will reach your goals. It is the only way to reach your potential, and your potential will always grow. Just remember that you have a team and it takes all of you to win, life is not a solo sport.
I would love to hear from people about how you implement these ideas in their lives already, and what results you are finding.
