Azure Summers Graphic Design is a woman-owned and operated, small business based in Olympia, Washington. Azure Summers offers the full range of graphic design services with expertise in print design, identity development, branding, and healthcare marketing. She is known for creating gorgeous, engaging products, but also has the knowledge needed to take designs beyond the initial perception of images. Azure calls on her 12 years of experience working directly with marketing and advertising professionals, in small businesses and corporate levels, to ensure her products are sensible and effective. Azure's 12 years of graphic design experience started in a small print shop performing graphic design and print production. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Management and Graphic Arts from Chadron State College in 2000, she went to work for the Rapid City Journal, where the high-stress, fast-paced environment provided an excellent opportunity for Azure's competitive, positive personality. She was awarded a First-Place Award of Excellence from the South Dakota Newspaper Association and numerous company awards. An established reputation of outstanding talent and exceptional relationships led to a position in the Marketing and Public Relations department of the largest employer in western South Dakota--Rapid City Regional Hospital. As Rapid City Regional Hospital grew into a healthcare system of over 40 hospitals, clinics, senior care facilities, and centers of excellence, Azure was at the design forefront for the 2005 branding and restructuring of the system, Regional Health. Other notable projects at Regional Health include a national award for the annual Great Black Hills Duck Race 2006 design; theme and event collateral for Grape Time, a premier wine-tasting event; and numerous local, state, and international awards. Azure began her freelance business after relocating to Olympia, Washington, in January 2008. Since that time she has been assisting businesses large and small, new and old, to greater success through their visual identity. She is a member of the Thurston County Chamber, and continues to supply her services to businesses in South Dakota, and more recently Colorado and California.
