drawing a crowd & when to charge
I am eager to hear from others in this group about why some events draw a crowd while others don't AND when will Bizniks pay to attend? I think they are related.
My events have had both good attendance and poor attendance, not to mention no shows, and my only offerings for paid events (granted, they were in the summer) were not attended at all.
Do we have "event fatigue" from too many events in Seattle? Will Bizniks pay for events that are not led by well-established members of the community?
Or perhaps I have not offered enough free, introductory workshops, written articles, and otherwise built my brand as someone who provides value in her events.
I read the long thread from a year ago about charging for events (through the link on the Create Event page.) That only convinced me that there is more discussion to be had.
