I have worked for 25 years in software development, almost entirely in electronic design automation in Silicon Valley, the last 10 years working remotely from home in Seattle.

The past three years I've also owned (with Peter Moore) and helped manage Poco Wine Room on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

My software career has made me very good at complex analysis, creative problem-solving, and the art of constructive simplification.

My wine bar owning experience has taught me I'm also fairly good at branding and graphic design (a welcome surprise).

My friends tell me I'm smart, wise, funny, and only occasionally too cranky to be any fun.

I'm a terrible dancer. I'm learning to play softball.

Poco always needs good business ideas - Peter and I are still learning as we go.

I'm looking at a possible career change - am I getting too old to find satisfaction just developing more software?
