What Beve does

Beve's specialty is identifying and treating nutritional deficiencies quickly and efficiently so your body can start healing itself.

Nutritional deficiencies are making a come back due to poor digestion and absorption or a lack of synthesis, as in the case of Vitamin D. Clients starting new exercise programs and those training for marathons have higher nutritional requirements and often see endurance and energy levels plummet due to protein, essential fat, vitamin and mineral deficiencies!

Low Vitamin D stores have been making the headlines recently. However, Vitamin D stores for those living in the Pacific NW and other parts of the world north of Latitude 37 have been declining for more than 30 years - since we stopped eating a significant Vit D food source - animal and fish liver. Loaded with Vitamin D, iron, zinc and Vitamin A, animal and fish liver plus lots of time spent outdoors, prevented depletion in our ancestors.

Many medications, including over-the-counter ones, also interfere with the digestion and absorption of nutrients including iron and Vitamin B12. Any medication that changes your stomach acid is going to decrease your absorption of nutrients.

Drink coffee, dark tea or chai with your meals and snacks? You will decrease your iron absorption by as much as 50%. Easy solution - drink them 15 minutes before you eat or wait an hour afterwards.

The best way to know how your body is digesting and absorbing food and nutrition supplements is to have your nutrition labs done. Labs tell us the real story about what is going on in your body, the nutrition supplements you should be taking (or not!) and what your nutrition care plan should include.

Beve can create your nutrition lab request during a free, 30-minute appointment offered to all new clients. So what are you waiting for? Call Beve today at 206-920-7676 and stop guessing about your health and wellness.
