  • Dear Naomi:

Really good article. Could be used as a text book for new users. Twitter is an excellent vehicle but time consuming if you don't watch yourself.

    Congrats,

  • Thanks Grace your comments are appreciated. You are a Financial Advisor so I thought of a humorous little story someone sent to me.

Dan was a single guy living at home with his father, and working in the family business. Dan found out he was going to inherit an obscene amount of money when his sickly father died, so he decided he needed a wife with whom to share his good fortune. One evening at an investment meeting, he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty was so stunning that it took his breath away.

He mustered up all his courage and approached her anyway.

“I may look like a simple and ordinary man to you,” he said to her, “but in a very short time my father will die, and I'll inherit 200 million dollars.” Impressed, the woman obtained Dan's business card and three days later... she married his father.

Women are so much better at estate planning than men.

  • Dear Amy:

Thanks for your comments too! All kidding aside, Men and Women in Networking organizations do get along and they do cooperate. Isn't it great that I can pick up the phone and talk over situations with men or women within my networking group. This can happen even with my Biznik contacts. This is special. But we have to give credit to Women who generally get the ball rolling in starting these groups. As I have said before..Good On Them!

Thanks for your comments. Contrary to some beliefs Women do talk and cooperate to the benefit of all. Good on them!

  • Dear Grace:

Why are women doing this to us? In my story I mentioned the Lions Club here in town which will have a female President 2009-2010. The 1st VP is also a woman. Last night a Lady was voted in as 3rd VP. We do have a man wedged in there as 2nd VP but that's small consolation. The stronger women get in the club the more "power" they will have. How do we stop the tide?

  • Rhonda: Thanks for your comments. I hope for everyones' sake some of the female dentists will be fulltimers. Where are all the men? Or are there just more wannabe dentists in total?

  • Christa:

My home office is a mess! I used to be better before computers and I filed everything in folders in cabinets. Now I think I should be able file everything on the computer and it just doesn't work. I'm away behind all the time.

    I'll keep trying.

  • Dear Kate, Your article really hits home and it is really difficult to find the right balance when you are all "alone." When we moved to small town Wasaga Beach (about 1 hour north of Toronto) I got involved in too many things to the detriment of earning a living and got "burned out." But even though I have cut back on certain activities the time spent getting known in a new community was worth it and is now paying dividends. Thanks for your thought provoking message. We'll look for more.
