I am a family law and personal injury attorney practicing in Lynnwood, WA. After several months of working in a big downtown law firm I decided to open my own practice in Lynnwood, WA. I felt that something was missing at the big firm. I wanted to create an environment of compassion, integrity, and understanding. Since the issues I usually deal with are extremely sensitive, it is important to build a strong attorney-client relationship and that becomes more difficult if a client does not have access to his or her attorney. I feel that by running my own practice I can have a bigger impact on people's lives. I can actually help solve their problems and work more closely with them to get the result they want.

Beyond being an attorney, I am a small business owner. I love it. I have embraced an entrepreneurial spirit. I enjoy learning about other people's small businesses, how they run them, or exchanging ideas about how to grow them. Their struggles and successes almost always resonate with me. I think one of my favorite parts about being a small business owner is that it is both simultaneously exhilarating and absolutely terrifying. I also like the flexibility it brings to my life. I am happy to join a community that embraces a similar mentality.

I also like to be active in my community. I volunteer regularly with the Housing Justice Project in Snohomish County, the King County Bar Association's Family Law Program (where I represent survivors of domestic violence), and once a week I dispense free legal advice to low income people at my Neighborhood Legal Clinic. I feel that it is important to give back to the community. It is not always easy for people with little resources to gain access to justice and I hope that in some small way I can change that.
