I have this great business and a wealth of knowledge to go along with it. I have a wonderful office and plenty of workday to get things done.
What's my issue? I need clients. Not only that, but I am the only member of my organization. That means I am the butcher, the baker AND the candlestick maker. I have to sell my own services.
My problem with that? I HATE SELLING!
So, what's a girl to do when the very thought of describing her business to someone makes her wretch? The strange thing is that I love people. I love having these great professional relationships. I just can't seem to sell my business (or myself) to anyone. I've tried networking, blogging, giving my card to everyone I know (and don't know). Maybe I'm saying the wrong thing or not being pushy enough. I don't know because I am NOT A SALESMAN!
Does anyone have any tips for an otherwise outgoing, confident person to gain more clients?
ANY tips are appreciated. Trust me...I need it! Thanks!
