  • Frontpage Help

    Hi all,

I have a good friend who built a website in Frontpage. The links work in IE, but don't work with other browsers like FireFox, Camino, and Safari. He changed it to be compatible will all browsers, but the links still aren't working. Anyone know what the problem is?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Virtual Assistant Training Course

I have teamed up with fellow Biznik Tracey Wallace of Virtual Staff, Inc. to offer a Virtual Assistant Training Course. I will be offering the administration training and Tracey will provide marketing training and support.

This course contains a wealth of knowledge all wrapped up in a neat package. It is ideal for those who have no idea where to begin their Virtual Assistant practice. The course also includes marketing coaching sessions and lots of extras!

The course requires application and approval, and www.avirtualstaff.com will have the application up and running shortly. In the meantime, either Tracey or myself can be emailed for more information about the course.

If Bizniks refer someone to us and they successfully enroll in the course, they will receive 10 free administrative hours from Virtual Solutions to be used as needed. That can come in handy for big projects!

Thanks for checking out our plug, and thanks, Biznik for allowing Tracey and I to meet and collaborate!

  • Need help with portfolio!

    Hi all!

I am starting school in the fall and need to put a portfolio together so I can apply for various scholarships. I have a few pieces of work but I have no idea how to arrange them or how to even create a portfolio! If anyone has any tips or hints, I would love to talk with you!

    Brianna

P.S. The portfolio must be on CD, which I have the capability of doing, and it will contain various design projects.

  • Help with a Book!

    Hello all!

As some of you may or may not know, I am getting married on May 19th! (Yaaaayyy!)

This wedding was planned on a major budget and I ended up finding some avenues that saved money and time, and will still produce beautiful results.

Because of this strategic planning, we are having a lovely wedding for 100 + people for around $500 (including my dress)!

Needless to say, I want to share my secrets and tips with the world! I've started writing in my spare time (which is sparse these days) but I have no idea where to go from there.

Any tips on marketing this book? Advice? Think it's the dumbest idea ever? I'd love to know!

    Thanks!

  • My apologies!!

I responded to Sarah's request for information about Guru and accidentally typed "Biznik" instead of "Guru" when I went on my Guru bash!

Just to clarify...I heart Biznik! You guys are the best! I'm trying to get things stirred up here in Oklahoma for you!!

    Whew I feel better!

    Thanks!

  • I hate selling!!!

I have this great business and a wealth of knowledge to go along with it. I have a wonderful office and plenty of workday to get things done.

What's my issue? I need clients. Not only that, but I am the only member of my organization. That means I am the butcher, the baker AND the candlestick maker. I have to sell my own services.

My problem with that? I HATE SELLING!

So, what's a girl to do when the very thought of describing her business to someone makes her wretch? The strange thing is that I love people. I love having these great professional relationships. I just can't seem to sell my business (or myself) to anyone. I've tried networking, blogging, giving my card to everyone I know (and don't know). Maybe I'm saying the wrong thing or not being pushy enough. I don't know because I am NOT A SALESMAN!

Does anyone have any tips for an otherwise outgoing, confident person to gain more clients?

ANY tips are appreciated. Trust me...I need it! Thanks!
