Weekend Workshops: One Day vs. Two Days?
One-day workshops seem to be more feasible for most people; I often hear about lack of time and funds to devote to a weekend workshop. It's not all that easy to get people to commit even to spending one precious weekend day in these parts!
Yet, I have found two-day events to be the most fulfilling, both professionally and for the attendees who were able to commit to both days. Because my workshops are interactive, two days means there's more time and space for participants to delve into the material and experience it in practical ways. Two days also allows participants to establish trust in me and with each other, an important element in the kind of work that I do.
Those of you who give workshops and seminars, I'd love to hear your experience. If you hold weekend-long events, how do you get around time-and-money stories? If you do one-day workshops, how do you provide value to your attendees?
