This is a great article...and one to practice...Do you remember Anne Boe...She wrote the book "Is Your Networking"...She died about ten years ago. I had the opportunity to befriends with her...She taught a class at leisure learning....and for two nights before went to networking events and had a houseful of about three hundred..To me the benefits of word of mouth selling is the best...

I think that we continue to learn when we are open to learning. And taking baby steps sometimes is the best way to go...Putting a plan in action can be overwhelming except if you plan to do afew things everyday. For example: I have to call radio stations to get an interview to promote my book, and I am having reluctance...FIrst of all I am working on perfecting my pitch. THe truth is that I will have only a few seconds should I be lucky enough to talk with the proper person. So my plan is to try to call five radio stations to get warmed up. Of course if I have success I will be excited about the next call. If not...I have to keep plugging...Someone is going to be interested in my subject.

Loved the article. I am an author and the marketing is a lonely job..mostly on computer and searching for speaking gigs... However I know from experience the act of doing does pay off.
