As the Vice President and a Physician for the Lane Medical Group the main thrust of Dr. Carole Lane's practice is diagnosing and treating disorders her patients have that effect the skin, scalp, hair, and nails. To this end, she specializes in the identification and surgical excision of skin cancer. Additionally, Dr. Lane is an Echocardiographer with 18 years of experience. She is fully qualified to interpret Cardiac Echocardiography, heart disease, and vascular ultrasound studies. Carole Lane received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was President of the Society for Physics Students and even taught Physics Laboratory classes to students during the first quarters of Physics classes. Dr. Lane received her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Lane is the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services for Monroe County Hospital, engaging in the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical excision of skin cancers and other Dermatological neoplasms and conditions. An accomplished Dermatologist and Echocardiographer with over 20 years experience in the medical field, Dr. Lane is constantly reading medical Journals to stay up-to-date in medicine. Dr. Lane regularly donates to the Skin Cancer Foundation, St Jude's Children's Hospital, Doctors Without Borders, the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Research Fund, and the Skin Disease Foundation. She is also a member of the American Society of Dermatology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society of Laser Medicine, the Surgery Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the Medical Society of Monroe County.
