Cheri Jessup

Currently, I am the Marketing Consultant for TodayText.com, an SMS mobile marketing company, that provides text messaging services and solutions to other companies who are rapidly jumping on the mobile marketing bandwagon. They are a new company, based out of Chandler, AZ, with a US reach.

Also, I am the Owner/President of Rocks & Roll, a company born out of a passion for "rockhounding." My husband & I extensively traveled the west coast for a year in search of rocks, minerals, gemstones and fossils, keeping a detailed journal about what we found and what we saw. I am working on developing a hobby business where I offer samples of our findings, as well as give advise and travel tips on where others can uncover their own hidden treasures.

Prior to these, I was the Director of Marketing, Programs & Instructor Development for DiscoverU, an adult continuing education company in Seattle, which quite unexpectedly (& quite sadly) went out of business in February 2008. Among the many hats I wore there, my main roll was to create, produced and managed all of the web-based and print marketing, and to recruit instructors/people who were entrepreneurs or simply had the knowledge, skill, &/or passion for something and wanted to share this information with others. These instructors taught classes on a WIDE variety of subjects.

When not working, I love to experience life - anything and everything it has to offer! Bring it on!! I just finished up a one year 'driveabout' with my husband, traveling the western US, exploring every nook & cranny we can in a year. And, let me tell you how fast a year can go when you're having this much fun!

Recently relocated to Phoenix, AZ, and am looking to help business with their challenging marketing needs.

Side note: As a result of the unfortunate and suddend closure of Seattle's DiscoverU, in February of 2008, I took some much needed time off to clear my head and go exploring with my husband. I want to thank all of the instructors who I was fortunate enough to contact before the doors close, for their kind and wonderful words of support and encouragement. I would love to stay in contact! For those I was not able to contact before my departure, I am sorry for not being able to connect you. Thank you as well for your support, passion and insiring work. Please feel free to contact me if you'd like. I can probably answer some of your questions about the abruptness of DiscoverU's closing.
