What Cheryl does
Welcome! What a warm and gracious word, an instant message of acceptance and comfort.
We provide business folks the most effective and time honored form of advertising, word of mouth. Our Welcome Connections Program provides business owners the opportunity to participate in a unique but exceptional form of person-to-person marketing, targeting new-in-town homeowners, new neighbor homeowners, relocating-looking to buy, homeowners, and through our interactive Hometown Website, the community at large.
Through a variety of resources we personally contact our hometown newcomers and drop off, (or in the case of those relocating, mail...) our FREE Gift Packets. Our packets are full of coupons, gifts, and specific marketing materials from each of our participating Business Sponsors.
Each of our informative gift packets includes our "Talk Back" surveys. These surveys allow our visited newcomers the opportunity to tell us which businesses they may use, and other bits of information that is shared only with our business sponsors, in a Monthly Newsletter format. These leads are exclusive property of our company and our participating sponsors, making our service an exceptional offer to businesses who want a fresh source of qualified client/customer leads.
To further serve our Business Sponsors, we also offer a "Business-to-Business" Packet Program. This offering allows participating business sponsors the opportunity to provide other businesses their selected marketing materials and special offers. These packets are presented in the course of our "getting to know us" meetings, and other events that our sales members participate in.
As a "networking" business, we provide new client referrals in a variety of ways. Our Sponsors are invited to bring marketing materials and special offers to our "Welcome New Neighbors" events. Booths and/or tables may be set up. These events are fun and informational, and offer our newcomers the chance to meet sponsors face to face.
We are aiming to be the best "leads" program around!

What Cheryl does best
I love to match excellent businesses to hometown residents who are looking for the best services in their communities. I am a "Business Matchmaker"!
Education
I have graduated from the school of "experience". Though a highschool graduate barely (to busy having fun), a U.S. Navy veteran (my first experience in being the "welcome gal" was while stationed in Adak, Alaska at the tender age of 19), and a graduate of many junior college business, and banking courses. My skilled training has been in actually creating and running several small business ventures. I have sold one, lost one, gave one away, and am back to running the most successful of my previous ventures.
Experience
Lakeside Oregon, Blackberry Sales, age 12.
Lead Singer of Family Band, age 12.
U.S. Navy Veteran, Honorable Discharge. (They made the movie "Private Benjamin" with Goldie Hawn, based on my mis-adventures...at least I think so, it's a very close story of my own miliatry career:)
Creator and owner of Ad-Ventures, a small ad newspaper for local residents in Crescent City, CA.
Bank of America, 12 years.
Avon-Tupperware-House of Lloyd Sales Rep. These companies provide excellent sales experience. I drove the Tupperware stationwagon, and met Mr. Harry Lloyd, the President and founder of several companies. I also had more tupperware in my kitchen then just about anyone!
Creator and founder of New Directions Welcome Service and
Expectant Mothers Service.
Founder-owner of FamilyCare of Solano (placed caregivers into the homes of seniors and provided networking of senior services).
Northern CA Sales Rep for Wysong Holistic Petfood. (Yes, it was a dog eat dog world.)
E. Bay CA. Sales Rep for CBS Stationers. (Up against Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, and others. Proudly opened up routes to Travis Air Force Base and many other interesting businesses around the East Bay area.)
Creator and partner of Welcome Connections, with affiliate businesses in: Sandy, Portland, and Vancouver. Soon to be in Gresham, Lake Oswego, Beaverton, Hillsboro, and Salem.
Targeting other cities throughout Oregon and the United States for branching out opportunities.
And, I am working on creating a nonprofit for moms who have been abandoned by significant others and have no resources.
