Residential Painting and Remodeling
I run a residential remodeling company that serves Southern Snohomish and Northern King counties of Washington state. We specialize in getting homes looking great, both for those of you planning to stay in your homes for a while, and for people that are getting them ready to put up for sale! We are moving more and more towards using green products, and for our clients that are ready to make the investment in going green we are ready and willing to make it happen.

Real Estate Investing
My wife Jacquie and I are actively looking for real estate to invest in, as well as new partners to get together on projects with. Our focus is to start acquiring multi-family properties to fix up and hold on to, but aren't opposed to other types of real estate ventures as well. I come from a lineage of real estate and contstruction so this is almost a given for me, and Jacquie has taken to real estate sales like you wouldn't believe. Her desire to win definitely drives her negotiating ability, and loves nothing more than making a good deal for us or partners.

I Solve Problems -
What I do best is creat solutions to problems, probably because I love to solve puzzles and hate no-win situations. I never claim that my solutions are easy, or that they are currently possible, but I do excell in taking a problem and seeing a new angle of attack in solving it. If you have a project you are stumped on and need help or need someone to partner up with, drop me a note. I would love to put our heads together to come up with some solutions!

In My Remodeling Business -
What I do best is make sure that things are done right. I strive to never let a detail of an installation or piece of a project get forgotten or overlooked. Those are the details that always come back to cause major problems years down the road.

Real Estate Investing -
My wife Jacquie (who is a real estate agent hint-hint) and I are currently working with a great group of real estate investors and are looking to purchase several multi-family properties in 2009. The market is down and everyone is running away. This is the time that all the wise people jump into the market! Of course owning a remodeling company helps because I can have my own crews working on my properties instead of paying someone else to do it!

I need a bid on some brick and retaining wall work!

I have a client in Seattle that needs some brick work done on a tudor style home as well as a retaining wall. I need to get some numbers to him ASAP so if you are interested in doing the work let me know!

Construction, Painting and Remodeling
Lots of on the job training! My family has been in construction for generations and I grew up with a contractor for a father which meant that I started working as soon as I was big enough to push a broom. From there on in I got do the sanding of the drywall and painting. On an on that story goes until we get to today.

My Formal Education is in Human Biology
Believe it or not, I actually did the college thing, all be it a bit late, and have a BS in Human Biology. My original plan was actually to study and then practice Accupuncture. This is how I came to reside in the Seattle area. Unfortuneatly NIAOM, the school I was studying at, closed a year into my training. So life goes. Now my biology knowledge is safely contained and I do my best to restrain it from spouting science facts at parties for fear of boring people to death.

Yes Even a Certificate in Sales and Marketing
Way back when, when I was first starting out I got a Certificate in Sales and Marketing from a vocational school. Not sure that it counts for much in the real world, but it did get me going down what I see as the right path in life (ie. marketing.) The reality is that we are all selling and marketing something all the time, primarily ourselves, so knowing how to market, promote and sell well is pretty key to life.

Official School of Life Education
I definitely have learned a lot of lessons so far in life, and a few of them have been fairly expensive. But, they were great lessons none the less! I am continually upgrading my life skills by listening to the great motivators and sales professionals like Tony Robbins (yes, the guy with the teeth), Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen (of Chicken Soup for the Soul fame.) I think that as soon as we stop growing and expanding as people, that we start withering. There is no staying static.

I have been in the construction and real estate business literally forever. I come from a long line of commercial and residential construction contractors and have worked in the real estate field before. I have been working on homes pretty much from the time I was big enough to run a push broom.
