I have also become quite the networking connector. I am great at introducing people at events and online through Biznik. I am always thinking about how I can help whoever I am with, or those I have met previously.

I am new to the area from Georgia, so I need to be put introduced to small business owners that have employees so that I can explain Aflac, how it can help their business, and most importantly how it benefits their employees with no cost to the company itself. Our "groups" are 3 or more people.

My biggest challenge is scheduling the 15 minute overview of what I've got with the small business owners. When they don't know me yet, they think I am trying to sell them something, and therefore they make it hard for me to help them realize that I am only trying to help, and that this really doesn't cost them anything - not to mention that I do all the implementation and admin! I also come to them - they don't have to meet me anywhere unless they want to. So that's why it helps to be introduced to business owners rather than having to "cold call" them.

I worked at the corporate headquarters of Aflac back in Columbus, Georgia with Large Account Services. I saw Aflac help many people, so I wanted to directly become a part of the action as a representative. This is why I became an agent upon my arrival to Seattle in late '07.

Before then, I had worked various customer service jobs throughout college ranging from bartending to bank teller. I love working with people, and wouldn't trade it for anything!
