  • Yes I am learning to find the fine the balance between letting people really know who I am in my posts about Whole Body Wellness. I wish to talk about what I do in my business well because I am passionate about it, however I have lots of interest and I don't wanna be locked into just one category. But then as Scott mentioned you could shoot yourself in the foot just by expressing who you really are. But as Jen mentioned well if you turn people off by who you really are, do you really wanna work with them anyway?? It's an interesting dance for sure and the beauty is there is no right answer. Thanks guys and gals for your feedback.

  • I just recently set-up a donation site with Paypal, it was really easy and fairly reasonable. Good luck.

  • I really enjoyed reliving the EFT that Rachel demonstrated, it reminded me of a time of my life from 2 years ago.

Thank you Elena for showing us that shoulder release. Shoulders is were I hold all my tension and they happened to be tight that morning, until that exercise.

Thank you Daenin for showing up and showing us your gifts.

WOW, Qigong was great, even after my slight "injury" the weekend before.

Think this will be every 2 weeks. Looking forward for the next one.

  • I have "screwed" up so many times online, Biznik and elsewhere that, yes even though I will be emotionally charged from that and maybe for a while I will say forget it, I am not putting myself out there again. I always ground out, come back down and put myself out there again and again and again. Eventually I will get it right. And when I do, I can just repeat that formula for a while at least.

I have found that without thinking so much, try to connect in with the spirit of what you are posting/writing/saying/doing about. As long as your intention is inline with the Spirit of that Event or that Blog etc., and maybe you do spell check at least once before submitting, you really can't go wrong. No matter how many people you piss off, or you think you pissed off. Like Neil said it's a big world and you may and will aggravate someone, believe me, but you will also touch someone where they need to be touched and create positive connections out there.

    Good luck to us all

  • So just recently I was considering posting a topic that was related to this.

What works, what doesn't work, with promoting yourself or your business? What is considered Shameless Self-Promotion?

I have been an indie biz owner for....oh about.....10 minutes!!! LOL Really I have carried the idea for many years. And after a long bout of unemployment while I settled up some education, I am now officially a biz owner with actual licenses.....hehehehe

Aside from watching and listening to others like you guys I really have NO clue what I am doing, mostly. I mean it took me several attempts with several ideas around an event to just get an event properly posted here on Biznik....but with some patience and very well guidance I have succeeded. Yay.

Just random postings on what you do and services, promotions, special/free offers, to me does not work.

The theory that I keep coming across about self-promotion to me makes sense, however I haven't quite got my brain programmed with the idea.

The theory is psychologically, most people don't care and really don't wanna hear about you and what you do. I feel they wanna be included in an invitation that will connect them to something bigger... And as long as they understand what they are connecting to and that they or their business will benefit from it, then they just might be interested in you and what you do. Which in turn is good for you and your business.

Anyway I personally don't have much proof with this. However maybe someone else out there does?

  • I am super excited to bring my QiGong practice to everyone there. Be prepared for some intentional bouncing into all of your body systems for a supercharged vitality to start this expo.

Also looking forward to work with individuals in a sacred healing space, through the use of Therapeutic Gemstones and Sound. This space being built below Purespace is undergoing some deep transformations and it will become a catalyst for anchoring in Shamballah here on Capital Hill.

  • Hey thanks everyone for the response. Godaddy seems to be the choice for deals and services provided when you register your name (which is all I really want to do currently), but then I have found other more seemingly enviro/socio/sustainably/green companies that are attracting me as well i.e.

    drak.net
    photon.net

I will sit on it today and hopefully by the weekend I will decide with whom to go with.

    Thanks SiJhay

  • If you have the time, you could comb the local beaches and might find some suitable ones.

I fished mine up at North Beach over in Port Townsend, but I am sure there are good rocks around here.

Know of any local river access around here, maybe Sammamish.

    Good Luck
