As a Story Mentor, I help my clients discover and explore their personal stories. Then I help them express their stories in small business websites, professional articles, nonfiction books, personal journals and more. My services include personal coaching, writing coaching, editing and website design.

I am an expert at helping people tell their stories--from personal journaling to professional articles and small business websites.

I would like to interview--and write articles about--people who have changed their life experience by changing the story they tell themselves. If you have a story to share (or you know someone who does), please contact me.

I have an MA in Writing with an emphasis on Publishing from Portland State University. I also have an MA in Linguistics and a BA in German and French from the University of Utah.

My career experience has ranged from academia to the corporate and nonprofit worlds. What has united all of my jobs is a love of writing, teaching and mentoring.

As a young adult, I taught English as a second language for eight years in Mexico City, Mexico; Kabul, Afghanistan (Peace Corps Volunteer); and Portland, Oregon. Then I joined the corporate world, where I wrote and edited business communications and marketing materials for mostly high-tech software companies.

In 2002, I returned to school to earn an MA in Writing/Publishing. While doing so, I also taught undergraduate writing composition courses and consulted one-on-one with students in the Writing Center.

I have maintained my own coaching and wordsmithing business since 2004.
