First, Hello Cecilia. I'm sorry that I did not return a hello more quickly. I was out of state presenting a Teambuilding session for a client of mine.
Second, Hello Deb. I think becoming a virtual assistant is relatively easy if you have some years of admin experience, a home office with most of the bells and whistles, and knowledge.
I was blessed that the military had a free certification program. I did have to qualify (meaning years of experience, etc.). There are virtual training programs and certifications on the internet.
I don't have any experience with any of them so I cannot recommend any. I do feel that if you are going to become an administrative virtual assistant that you need to have the following basics:
- Strong English skills
- Several years administrative experience
- Office management/supervisor experience
- Computer knowledge
- A funtioning home office
Again, this is a very basic list of what you need to start out as a VA.
