Frame It LTD.

I'm currently a two hat person...an Associate Scientist specializing in histology during the day and a part owner of Frame It Ltd. at Northgate by night and weekends. Wanting a second job to support my photography habit about 13 years ago I started working part time at Frame It Ltd. and loved it! When the opportunity arose to purchase the shop one of my co-workers (the creative young one) and I decided to jump in and give it a shot, we had both worked there about the same number of years. She runs the business but I would like to help out more with marketing, something I know nothing about.

I get my chuckles and grins watching the expressions of joy and excitement when our customers pick up their framed treasures, also assisting them as they choose framing materials, helping them visualize the finished product usually with a large helping of trust in us on their part. It is a very rewarding job both for the client and for a framer.

Currently I am a scientist first but a marketing associate want-to-be. This is where I hope Biznik can give me some pointers. We have a very low advertising/marketing budget so we need to be creative and hard working to compensate.

I have a BS degree from Pacific Lutheran University, spent many years working for the Lions Eye Bank both in the pathology department and as an enucleator. Retired from the UW with experience in electron microscopy, retired from the VA Hospital with a lot of bone histology experience and I currently work for ZymoGenetics, Inc.

I love to travel and take pictures (pictures always look 200% better when framed creatively), I enjoy touching up damaged photos using Photoshop. I usher at three different theaters here in Seattle. I enjoy experiencing LIFE!
