Hey Rachel, We have a general use space at Arcania that you could use.
Give me a buzz if your interested.
How long is your class?

I say if you've already got insurance great use it. If not, invest in a wellness plan, or more of a "structured wellness habit". I have found it so helpful to have a weekly massage and a personal training session once a week. It has definitely boosted my productivity and earning ability too.
This may not work for everyone for all kinds of care, but looking at what you specifically want or need for care and shopping for good people in preventative care can be a great start for overall health and keeping your spirits up. dancing is a part of wellness for me too. I go at least once a week. It makes a major difference in stress for me.
I also don't think people know how great it would be to have socialized medicine in the US. We can learn a lot from other countries about how good the health care is there with this system. Watch the Movie Sicko if you get a chance. I know that Michael Moore is not 100% on his methods of documentary, but neither is the propaganda we get about socialized medicine or about our our system of medicine. Sicko is eye opening. If we had socialized medicine like we have socialized postal service and libraries etc. we would not have to worry about insurance companies and all their red tape and being rewarded to refuse claims.
Ha ha ha,
Yeah me too!
Ah well
Does it have small sparkly flecks in it or a big shiny stripe in it making it "iridescent" if it is small flecks of sparkle then that is probably mica in a dark tumble of Lepidolite. Other stones that are purple and opaque and matte are Charoite and Sugilite. Although they don't normally have a sheen to them. It is most likely Sugilite with a nice sheen like the kind that transitional sodalite has.
Sometimes it is hard to tell without holding it. It would be fun to find out though!
Ahhh girls who love rocks, beautiful.
Hey, this is exactly what I want. I live in Capitol Hill and I'm a deep tissue specialist. Banu recommended you to me. I am looking to get in shape! I was hoping for part movement part weight training in a fun way, and I am into martial arts, but really outta practice!
please call me 206 679-1363 afternoons best time

I liked Rebecca Wood's comment, and I'm game to answer it.
I think for me, not speaking for all guys here, it is not about how I will feel or what I will think about myself etc. it is more about how long will I pause to look at the product. I usually think the sexy sales are cheesy, but if they are sexy to me (which only sometimes is true) then I will look a little longer. I usually don't even think about the product, but I am there and maybe by me being there for an extra second or two... It is more about getting at UNconscious real estate in my brain that links pleasure and memory (limbic system) to the product. If it is cheesy and rediculous, that still works if I remember it. In fact if I don't take it seriously and find it funny, I will remember it better.
Personally, I actually don't think people are going for "sexy" in advertizing, they are going for memorable and if it is cheesy and sleezy, it may be discounted as funny or stupid and therefore unthreatening enough to get through your mental defenses to that "happy place" that allows us to remember it.
Sex could be portrayed as beautiful, as ugly as sacred, as anything, but it is portrayed as stereotypes for a reason. Perhaps this is because they work at reinforcing memory and are regarded as being harmless when bombarded with tons of them. People are sexually repressed in many places in the world, and people are also intimidated by success and power, so what we stereotype as "dumb looking, sexy people" may sell more to a person who is insecure enough to be looking for answers in magazines or products on impulse whether they are male or female. They are less intimidating. Others will be turned off by this. Perhaps For them a more a stereotypical "sophisticated sexy" is required. And frankly, looks can be deceiving. We make up the rules of what we believe about which is which.
Yeah, I came later and still had some really good conversation, it was fun.
Sierra always has fun events!
Oh, I am teaching this night!
I hope you do it again!

Thanks Celeste! I really enjoyed the event too. You all had some good tips to share! That was fun!

Oh yeah, and I am a neck specialist when it comes to massage... :-)
Hey Michael, I admit that I am not an expert on this, but I will chime in anyway. I think that $25 sounds like a normal book price. I am sure that your book is worth it, I don't really know how long your book is or what forms are included though. However, as far as I know, ebooks don't really sell very well at that price. Maybe as a starter price or hardcover and then offer it as an ebook at half price as part of a special offer?
I really like the changes so far, I think there is a saying like "Nobody Cares What you Know Until they Know How Much You Care".
I don't like people's static info that much. It doesn't really tell me much. It is too prepared. What people say about themselves is biased. It is what people do that really tells me something about them. I think a very short description and then the recent activity is very good for business.
I personally am more into seeing the interaction between people and that is usually how I decide to do business with someone. I watch how they treat others and see if they are all stuffy or warm and fuzzy and do they they follow through, stay active?
I do like testimonials, I wish there was a way to create a more interactive testimonial area, to encourage people to post helpful feedback or ratings or fresh info about services, somehow highlight more about other peoples points of view of bizniks services, I know that there are ways to do that on Biztalk, It seems like something here could be tweeked into a brilliant way to get feedback.
I also wonder how valuable is all that carefully worded stuff if nobody sees it or comes back? Just looking at the new format I can tell that we are many times more visible and our humanity and areas where we lack expertise showing in questions I feel is a massive asset. It again makes the person real to me and unstuffy-tizes them!
If someone feels too polished and stuffy I immediately distrust them and feel like they are hiding something.
Even the most experienced person has blind spots, and if we are really here to learn from each other and become more successful, then i would hope we can reveal those spots to each other so that can happen.
I also think clients seeing this can feel more comfortable with us and feel like they are a part of something more real and intimate rather than polished and stand-offish.
In short I feel the new format feels more inviting and brings in more ways for people of all kinds to see us we really are, and people are smart enough to know who they want to work with without us having to pretend perfection.
I've been trying to get the perfect verbage on my profile just like everyone and I find out no-one cares about that, they just want to know where to meet me or what is the latest thing I've done.
A very short description half a sentence description is enough to know the "what is it", then I want to hear others comments and see more interactive stuff to know if it's worth it.
It's kinda like movies for me, I like movies that some people give bad ratings to and some give good ratings to. If everyone likes it, it may have too much hype for me to enjoy it. I like to hear both sides.

:-)
Hey Fiona, thanks for posting this. I can totally relate.
In a way even though we work for ourselves we still work for our clients within a certain structure. It can be easy to lose sight of the other parts of life that feed and inspire us when that structure seems to need immediate attention.
It is easy for me to feel overwhelmed by things when I am not taking time to play or do something inspiring or new. I sometimes work several weeks and forget to take a day off, or if I do, I think about work during that time.
Something that helps me is Asking myself "What do I want on my Pizza?" There are these different areas of my life other than career that need to be balanced for me to feel good and be able to stay focussed and in the moment.
What ingredients in each area actually invigorate me? I can start writing down which ingredients have worked and look at the times when I have been most happy and felt free and successful.
I like to check in with my body as a guide to what is good for me. I believe that we all have a way to recognize what is good and uplifting to us as long as we are willing to connect to our "animal"or human body wisdom. When I feel in the slumps, I like to practice feeling "Where" that feeling actually is in my body and what exactly does it feel like.
Is my belly in knots? do I feel sluggish, how sluggish and where is it on a scale of 1 to 10 on the slug scale. And then I can check back with that feeling while I am considering different options that I am mentally hoping will help pull me out of the dumps.
Just thinking about certain options I will feel a response from my body. If it feels good, I will check it out. Now the trick here is to realize when I am dismissing something because of cultural programming. If I really listen to my body, it never lies.
My mind can sometimes go too far with something that was only supposed to be a taste here and there. It can be healthy to sample many things, and as soon as your body tells you that it doesn't feel good anymore, then move on or change it up, make it more fun. More primal.
Another key for me is if i can feel good or sexy when doing it, then it is probably healthy. Healthy sexual energy is what revitalizes us when we get stuck in the mind. It brings us back to the enjoying of the body and of life.
So as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, go have fun and find a way to feel sexy or primal and earthy, and your body will turn on again and begin to give you solid clues as to what you really want on your Pizza.
Oh, yeah. Check out http://www.Jenawellness.com Jena is a wellness professional and a great writer. She has articles on there that I you might find really useful.

Eva,
Currently we are active as a non-profit and have an EIN number, but do not have tax-exempt status. We have been also trying to figure out if we want the protection of a parent company to act as a sheild for protecting intellectual property should "Arcania the center" get into trouble. We're wondering do we need a foundation? just an alliance? Should we put Arcania as a not for profit under an LLC or S-corp and how does that work?
While we are trying to get ready long term we still have just really been getting started with the center, it has only been open a month and a half. We are mostly concerned about making the right preliminary steps that will set us up for later on in the game.
Thank you so much for offering help!
I wonder how different it is in Oregon because they don't have sales tax!
Blessings
David
Hey Leila,
Yes, I have managed to procure that tidbit of information about the two kinds.
Yes pointers are good, I'll check out your link.
I'll pack a lunch and wear shades to keep my eyes from bugging out ;-)
Thank you for your help! I'm feeling pretty "green" in this unfamiliar non-profit world, so I really appreciate your help.
Blessings! D~
Hey Amy,
thank you for your question. We started this whole thing, very ambitious knowing that we have more people power than capitol. As the 13 moons collective we came together to bring healer types together with biz folks to get more organized and be able to build a more fun, more sustainable way of life and really crete an awesome center for teaching and crosstraining eachother in the Healing arts creting basically a Spa with massage and top notch metaphysical healing services. That collective has also formed small groups of action teams that were also interested in:
1alternative education,
2sustainable technology,
3tools of wisdom,
4tools that reconnect people to the earth and 5research in elemental healing
6Ancient Kabbalistic & Lightwork studies of a Spiritual nature
7Alchemy.
We Literally built the place with our own hands and used 90 percent recycled materials. I mean almost everything we have is donated or recycled! It seemed like a good fit for us since we have so many projects and humanitarian causes and little to no start-up capitol. I thought this would help others get a tax write off who wanted to support our causes while we figure out how to navigate through the next steps in our vision.
Cool, I like your idea Leif.
let me know how it goes. We can all use a little "twosies power" to get things going from time to time, less red tape and check in. Small group may be best though for what you are trying to do. Especially if it's all screened by relevance.
Good stuff!

Elizabeth, I used to help with estate sales years ago and I think it would be really good to get a feel for the kind of estate sales you will be doing.
Some estates sales are really brutal, and it is good to know that the estate sales crowd varies a lot.
Emotionally it can be very draining to handle. Especially since the estates are often being sold due to intense life transitions and the peoples stuff and space that you might be organizing really can be emotionally charged because of this.
Many Estate Sales are due to death and that transition can be easy or hard for some folks, some of them leave after a period of Dementia or Severe Health Issues.
If you are sensitive to this kinda thing, you may want to gear up with something to keep yourself clean and help uplift the vibe of the space while you organize it.
Wearing nice quality Sodalight beads can help keep you calm and focussed while you work. Burning Sage in the Place is also helpful. Many people really notice a difference.
You also may want to be prepared to deal with the Estate sale attendees looking for that precious item.
Some of these people are like Vultures! It can be really something. You seem very positive and strong though and helping people's families etc. transition can be very rewarding spiritually too.
For the emotional aspect I recommend wearing Rhodonite, which can really stabilize the emotions when you wear it, and that can help others around you to also feel more stable.
Good luck to you whatever you decide, David
