DMH DESIGN is a Seattle, WA based universal and accessible home design firm for home owners and contractors that emphasizes mobility and green design. Services include accessible home planning, design, house plans and permitting for new and remodeled homes, tailored to the needs of each individual client and their specific project.

We believe a successful project must be sensitive to the fact that every home's design is unique, driven by client need and taste, municipality regulations, site limitations and orientation, and the condition of any existing structures on site to be retained and modified.

With emphasis on home accessibility and green building materials, I work in close partnership with my clients to ensure that the functionality and practicality of their homes are addressed, such as ample storage space, early in the design process. Together with my clients, we work together to incorporate these features, such as accessible kitchen and bath design, and the incorporation of elevators into their homes, which allow our clients the flexibility to remain in their home, and provide a safe and comfortable residence for their family, in both the near and long term.

The design of new homes and home renovations/additions to existing homes of any period that emphasizes accessibility and encourages long term mobility for the residents, regardless of age or physical limitations.

I have 29 years of design experience, working for my firm, DMH DESIGN and for firms in Phoenix, AZ and Seattle, WA on a variety of building types. Kitchen design, bath design and home plans which feature universal design and accessible design features are the primary focus of DMH DESIGN. I have also designed medical facilities, restaurant renovations, small commercial tenant improvement projects and furniture over the course of my professional career.
