What Dani does
Every business has a story to tell. To get that story heard in an increasingly noisy marketplace, it needs to be clear, consistent, and authentic. And in the neverending busyness of, well, business - you need someone who can create great design on time, on target, and on budget.
That's what we're here for. At the zen kitchen, we've spent years helping our clients define and tell their unique story with award-winning, eco-friendly design that packs a serious punch for their business. Whether you're a corporation that wants to share their good works, a non-profit in search of donors, or an entrepreneur with a big vision, we'll work closely with you to get you the attention you need... and we'll share a couple of good recipes along the way.
What Dani does best
Where I shine is in helping entrepreneurs get down to the bottom of their business - what are they in it for? What do they have to share with the world? - and then translating that into graphics that capture their unique story and get their audience's attention.
What does Dani need?
I work best with entrepreneurs who are passionate about what they do, and understand the valuable role that marketing and design play in the success of their business (and, ultimately, their ability to do what they love for a living).
I'm also happy to find folks who want to share recipes, or chat about the challenges of entrepreneurship.
Education
Rhode Island College, Theatre/Graphic Design
Experience
I made the leap to independent designer in late 2004, after doing it on the side for about 4 years. Since 2006, I've been running my own design studio out of my home in Watertown, where I often work alone, but will also collaborate with other creatives (especially writers, programmers, and folks who like working with code more than I do) when the job warrants it.
In addition to my work as a designer, I bring years as an activist for various causes, including women's rights, GLBT rights, AIDS awareness, Domestic Violence, and the environment. I also write, coach and speak on the subjects of self-promotion and green business/green design.
