What do you think of creative content licensing for a social network?
I've been dabbling with which license to use for the content on www.foodcandy.com Biznik seems to have a home grown license.
FoodCandy has slightly broader content:
- posts from users: forum posts, restaurant reviews
- syndicated blogs: full content from blogs "authorized" or syndicated by the authors and "reposted" on foodcandy
- reviews, events and personal opinions: comments on restaurants, food photos, etc.
- interviews by users: some people conduct interviews for foodcandy - they "work" for foodcandy but don't get paid
- user stories and blogs on the food topic
I am considering slapping the creative commons license: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/
What do you think?
Thx dB.
