I am present as much or as little as I am needed, and I always make sure to keep dad/partner as an active birth partner assisting the laboring mother.

Studies have shown that women never forget even the tiniest details of their birth experience. I believe having a doula is investing towards making sure those memories are fulfilling and satisfying in retrospect. [less]
