I am an attorney with the mindset of an entrepreneur. While I am not afraid to go to court, my approach emphasizes prevention of legal problems and creative problem solving. My practice saves clients money (especially unnecessary legal fees) in the long run and my work typically puts them in a position to maximize profits as they grow. Work with me and I hope to persuade your business to adopt sensible business practices to head off legal problems, and I warn you...I am very persuasive!

What I do best is think strategically to help businesses employ their resources wisely and grow profitably. While my practice has a fair amount of breadth within the areas of business and intellectual property law, my primary areas of emphasis (if I had to pick a couple) are trademark and representing buyers of businesses. I also work on a number of entertainment-related projects, which are fun.

Biznik is great for meeting interesting people forging their own unique path in life, so I am always looking to connect with such people who would rather starve as an independent than "succeed" as a corporate drone, but hopefully know that this isn't a choice one has to make.

In terms of a client base, the "sweet spot" of my small but thriving law practice is growing businesses who might first consider working with one of the large firms in town, but aren't large or "important" enough to get good service from them. And anybody with a trademark issue.

Law Degree and MBA from Duke. Two undergraduate degrees from University of Massachusetts.

...is overrated. I started my practice in 2003, so this is the sixth year. Prior to that I started and run a non-legal business and worked in investment banking, consulting and business development.
