I’m looking forward to this Shannon. See you on Friday!
Thank you Jack and Jane for hosting a meaningful event at Villa Rosa! The evening was filled with fun stories, great food, and excellent networking with fellow Biznikers. I always enjoy visiting with you and the amazing people the two of you attract.
Hi Jack and Jane,
I'm looking forward to great fun and conversation
Sounds like a great event. I’m looking forward to the learning.
Riley and I are looking forward to a good walk filled with great conversation.
Satori,
Thank you for your wise contribution to this string!
I appreciate the information that Rachel has outlined in this article that may have an impact on how Washington State governmental regulations could impact Counselors, Coaches, and Healers.
I feel it is equally important to consider the questions Satori has suggested to us and the people whom presume to know what’s best for the masses.
I am a certified professional coach through an accredited institution, but for the State of Washington to imply I may need to get another degree to coach is upsetting.
Thank you for the information.
Satori, I’m delighted to read the words of a wise change agent actively making a difference in this world.
Joel,
Thanks again for pertinent information that can benefit any small business. The Google fight is a great resource.
I’m not able to make it tonight. I’ll look forward to attending another in the future….
Thanks Howard for a great event. Your presentation style made this event informative, practical, and FUN. Integrating the practice with constructive feedback is huge bonus.
Howard you hit on an excellent point. Most people in sales or many industries are not trained in sensitive or effective communications. I liken the sales processes as an opportunity to serve. Professionals in sales are actively assessing a potential client’s needs and wants. The focus is on what is in the BEST INTREST of the client as it should be for any professional, but is far too often not with others. The problems come up when sales people haven’t received the training they deserve or the training is OLD SCHOOL and out of date. Their easy to spot when it’s clear the primary focus is getting the DEAL done. There are many factors that feed into this, but what’s most important is the client’s perception. Unfortunately, for every bad experience a client or customer has with a sales person is usually discussed with three times as many people over the positive, professional sales experience. The key, in my humble opinion, is effective training. Being a Professional in Sales equates to being excellent at building relationships and having fun.
Wayne,
Thanks for explaining web 2.0.
I must admit web 1.0 and 2.0 are alien to me. However, your articulate outline of the basics helped raise my awareness how business can benefit from this technology.
This would be a great discussion event for myself and others whom want to learn the ins and outs of Web 2.0.
Thanks....~David
This is a great article. I think it’s an inherent trait that many entrepreneurs inadvertently tend to be “lone rangers” and want to do everything for them selves. It’s important to remember that professional athletes achieve their goals with a coach and support staff. Top executives have executive teams to advise and give support. Actually, Biznik is a form of support for solopreneur. Thanks for sharing.
Zita, Thanks for a well thought out and easy to apply strategies in this article. I like the analogy of walking, talking billboards. I have also learned that applying these questions who, what, how, where, and why will allow us to laser in on our target audience as well as the values we bring as professionals to our clients. Being clear on values is like fine tuning the frequency that attracts the people we want to work with daily. Then work becomes play. How cool is that?
Elise
Thanks for some fantastic info. I didn’t realize, untill reading this article, a business owner can create an additional web presence through facebook. I’m going to get started today. Thanks!
Hey Brody,
Thanks for the article. Soft selling is an excellent way to build brand reputation and drive more traffic to a website. I like how you linked soft selling with being active or even passively active in associations and social networking sites. It works and is a low cost way to advertise and market.
Kathy,
These are excellent points. I like the point you made about bio’s reading like a history lesson (show, don’t tell). I also enjoyed the part on creating success stories or as I like to refer to it case studies that shows where a client was, what actions were taken, and the results they achieved.
Jack and Jane, thank you for welcoming us into your home to facilitate "The Creative Entrepreneur". This event is packed full of creative ways to blend ones personality linked with fun into any business. I took away the importance of story telling. Tell the story that’s integrated with meaningful details to project information about you and your business that’s in alignment with values.
I’m looking forward to experiencing future events with the both of you.
Awesome idea! I will participate. My schedule is flexible, so a time and place that works for the entire group, I’ll make work with my schedule.
Scott, thanks for forwarding this string in your email.
Looking forward!
Sound interesting. I'm in DC over the weekend. Maybe next time. Here's a clip to another film that will be out soon.
