I am Creative Director and Owner of Cococello, a web and print design studio.

I started out with a BFA from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a major in photography and a minor in film (the age of film, dark rooms and Bolex cameras!). Soon after I completed graduate course work at Ohio University's School of Visual Communication. Most recently I completed a Certificate in Web Design & Development from Portland State University.

My background is in journalism having worked at newspapers around the U.S. and Canada. I eventually moved into magazine design when I accepted a position as Associate Art Director for National Geographic Traveler. From there I became Art Director and Photo Editor for Virtuoso Life (formerly Travel + Life), a bimonthly luxury travel magazine.

As an editorial, publications designer, art director and photo editor I worked and collaborated with many talented editors, writers, photographers, illustrators and picture editors. The result: many awards and recognition. It was the best 10 years of my life.

Since 2006 I have been independent and slowly growing my business, Cococello a web and print design studio. My clients currently include B&Bs, wineries, photographers, jewelry designers, stylists, non-profits, to name a few.

More notable projects include working as Co-director of Photography for The Blue Planet Run book and designing a website for Dreamweaver CS4: The Missing Manual.
