I'm so glad Pamela started this up again! I got so much accomplished. The tone that Pamela set helped me focus and feel nurtured in my creative endeavors. Thank you!

I'm sorry to miss this again. Suddenly, my Fridays have become busy. I hope everyone's doing well!

Sorry to have to cancel, but I'm sure I just made someone's day! Will attend another time -- thanks for offering this monthly event, Sharyn.

Bob, thanks for putting your wisdom into such a helpful article. I have some notes on this from one of your events, but having it spelled out like this is much better than my chicken scratches! Good timing for me as I'm just now in the beginning stages of starting a blog.

Hi Karen, Thank you for the invitation! I'm sorry to miss this first group, but I'm out of town that week. I look forward to the next one.

Thank you, Karen! Such a good reminder for me to keep reaching for the risky, the uncomfortable, and the downright scary. Leaping is not always smooth, but the reward is worth every breathless, deer-in-the-headlights moment. Congratulations on not merely surviving as an indie, but THRIVING.

Sabrina and Tim, You've been SO helpful. Thank you for your generous advice!

Thanks, everyone! I'm wondering about the recording equipment right now, not the editing software. Like Tim mentioned I know making a high quality recording is the priority so I'll have something to work with later.

Bob, I'll look into AudioTechnica. Thank you!

Great new feature! I've been meaning to ask-- for the longest time, I had 9 as the number I'd invited. Then, mysteriously that dropped to 8 about a month ago. I've since invited another, so it's back up to 9, but what happened to drop the number down? If someone cancels their Biznik membership, do they get removed from our list of invitees?

Thanks, Leif. I benefited early on in my business from the insights in Mark Silver's "Heart of Money" ebook. Great stuff!

In helping myself first, and now others, with this issue, I know the "Now what?" question is key. As in, "Yes, my beliefs about money affect my success... now what?"

It's entirely possible to overcome inhibiting beliefs and partner with money to fund your dreams. Here's my take on what works:

    • Identify the fears behind your beliefs.
    • Pull out the messages and motivations within your fears to guide you.
    • Contain the fear so it doesn’t drive the bus.
    • Flip the fear... where there's money fear, there's money excitement.
    • Move forward from what excites you. Take action steps that engage money as your partner, not your enemy.

I'm inspired to leave my computer now and go for a walk! Thanks, Miriam! And, thank you for sending me info on your upcoming workshop on this topic: Reclaiming Our Sensuous Nature.

You're doing powerful work and it's great to see you writing about it, and more importantly, LIVING it. You walk your talk and it's lovely to see.

Great event all around with so many kind, generous volunteers! I want to thank the camera person who taped me-- Al, I believe. I was too nervous to get his last name and I don't see him as one of the video team listed-- can anyone help me get a thank you to him? He gave me a thumbs up from behind the camera that completely put me at ease.

I also want to thank Carol Walter who shared some of her aromatherapy grounding lotion with me as I waited in line. It was just what I needed.

Tammy, Great to hear from a fellow coach-- I appreciate the input, especially about the frequency. I recently signed up for someone's list and got 9 emails in one week. It turned me off so much that I wanted to be the opposite and maybe took it a little too far with my once/month strategy.

Gulliver, I've had the opposite experience as a consumer. I don't remember to go visit people's sites even when I love what they do/sell and even when I've bookmarked them. Getting the emails is pretty much the only way I stay connected to their most current information.

Stacy, Thank you! More great ideas to add to the mix. I think you may be right about increasing the frequency a little.

I do offer a free download, but one thing I'm realizing through your comments and Judy's is that I haven't created a firm, ongoing plan for promoting my email list. It's more of an after-thought. Need to change that.

I plan to sit down with all these ideas and create a monthly calendar, using information I got from Judy's Etip this week. It's so nice when all the right solutions show up just by me reaching out for help!

Judy, thank you so much! I definitely strive to put solid content into my monthly e-newsletters, so having an archive of that material on my site is a great idea. I also like the idea of mentioning it to my participants during the call by letting them know there'll be more on the topic in the next month's newsletter.

You're right about the power of face-to-face contact. I signed up for your weekly Etips after one of Bob's Wordpress events!

I really appreciate the time you put into responding to my post.

Hi Patrick, Just my two cents here... a sticker for your car might be a good idea especially since you're in a small town. However, I would highly recommend building relationships with people by first identifying your ideal clients and then stopping by to introduce yourself (or finding some other appropriate way to meet them). This can take time, but it's cheap and very effective. In a small community in particular, it's probably the best way to go so you can kick-start some good word of mouth referrals.

You might also want to create a special promotion that you can offer as you go around networking.

You're not alone in your challenges getting clients during your first year. We've all been there. Be patient and consistent with your efforts. Good luck to you!

Looking forward to seeing those who can make it. Remember that the Pub doesn't open until 4:30, so if you arrive a little early, you can browse in the bookstore with me.

Under "Who's Viewing Your Profile" today I see:

"No one has viewed your profile in the last week. To attract more attention, complete your profile and participate in the community."

I know people have viewed my profile because I'm getting sign-ups for events. Thanks for your help with this!

    Pamela,

This is an excellent reminder. I know I can sometimes get so focused on sharing the benefits of my services that I forget to share WHY I do what I do.

Thank you for supporting us all to be more confident, authentic, and connected!
