  • Great event! Jenny, I remember you sharing that you planned to do this and I've been keeping an eye out. Looking forward to getting some expert feedback, meeting new people, and connecting again with lovely Pamela.

  • I recently met Al Green. He seems to be doing very well in the market. You might enjoy talking with him if you haven't already met.

  • Nancy, Thank you for spreading some sunshine with your story! I was sorry to hear about your ankle (must have happened right after the event you attended on the 4th?). I hope you don't have too much longer in that cast.

Reading about your gratitude for all the kindness that's come your way is truly heartwarming.

Thank you for taking the time to share.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Debbie

  • Hi Andrew, Great event idea! Wish I could attend, but have a conflict that day.

I've also found it very effective to personify $ in helping people develop a more intimate and dynamic partnership with their money. I do a workshop called "If Your Money Could Talk" -- really gets folks moving in a new direction.

    Have fun on the 8th!

  • Toni, It's good to take care of yourself and not make things more overwhelming than they need to be. I'm doing this again on Oct. 1st if you're free that evening.

And Jerome, I look forward to meeting you!

  • This may have been requested before elsewhere... I'd like to see the referral feature set up like when you make an introduction so that the "referred to" member starts to fill in as you type and then a link to their profile shows up in the message. I understand that the "referred to" person shouldn't get a message, but it will help those of us who are trying to make referrals. This way, the person can easily click on the other member's name and see if they want to do business with him/her.

I hope I've explained this well enough.

  • Hi Twylia, Congratulations on starting your business! My, you're busy with a full-time job and school as well! I recommend that you check out Molly Gordon. If you don't already have her book "The Way of the Accidental Entrepreneur," I recommend getting it and perusing her online articles as well.

Another item on your list might be "hire a business coach." Having a coach to sort through marketing issues and form my business identity certainly helped me in the early stages. This is not a shameless self-promotion since I don't do business coaching. ;-)

    Best of luck to you!

  • Hi Kristine, The Oct. 1st event has been posted. This time it's in Redmond. Take a look and if you can make it, I hope to see you there.

    Thanks for your interest!

  • I really appreciate the overview, Christian. I just joined Twitter this week (thanks to encouragement from Joe Hage), but I wasn't really sure how to use it strategically. Now I have some things to think about and a place to start.

One question: What's the point to having a handle if you're using Twitter for business? Should I not be using my real name?

  • Hi Wendy, I apologize for not remembering if I responded to you in a message or not. I have you on my list of those wanting to know about the Oct. date.

Thanks for your interest and welcome to Biznik!

  • Sorry, Sylvia! -- did you get my biznik email earlier when it was posted? I should have sent it to your other email address.

I'm doing it again in Oct, but don't know the date yet.

  • Leta, There's a spot open on the one I'm doing on Sept 25th. Can you make that one?

I'll likely do one again in Oct as well, so I'll be sure to email you.

    Thanks for your interest! Debbie

  • I'm about to post another one for Sept. 25th, 7-9pm at the same location in Kirkland. This time I won't be offering all attendees a free follow-up coaching session. But, I will do a drawing at the event for 2 folks to have free sessions.

Loretta, Valerie, Stacy, Sylvia, Pamela, Ana... hope to see you there. Thanks!

  • Dani, I had to laugh when I saw your photo ... I've seen lots of chopped off heads here on Biznik's thumbnail photos, but yours was really chopped. I hope you were able to fix it and I look forward to seeing more of you in the future. ;-)
