  • Thank you for this article. It confirms my own choice in recent years to really listen to my gut when a potential client and project come my way. In 99% of the cases, you will know almost immediately if there is a fit by noticing if you are genuinely excited by the prospect, if ideas are flowing without even trying, etc. I believe if you pass on the ones you're not feeling it for, more of the right ones will come your way!

    Thanks again!

  • Jeff,

I genuflect to you; you have packed a lot of wisdom into a small space. I will refer back to both of your articles in my ongoing efforts to talk about the characteristics of logos with my clients.

Great to be in touch with you again after all these years, Jeff. Keep your big thoughts coming, please!

  • This was a great refresher course, Mike. It made me feel inspired to continue on my own path. Thank you. By the way, your descriptor is both inspiring and chilling by itself. I'm glad you were running late...

  • Jeff, these are great guidelines. I especially love and agree with the final paragraph and the flag metaphor. Well put! I look forward to Part II.

  • Thank you, Matthew for a really inspiring evening. I am changing my actions based on what you shared with us. There were so many wonderful and important ideas and you presented them in a completely fresh, heartfelt and unpretentious way.

    I am deeply grateful.

Thanks! Looking forward to this event.

  • Amoreena, I have some specific feedback for you about your web site having to do with the visual design and perhaps more importantly the organization. I'd be happy to give you my .02 over the phone, if you want to call me.

    All the best!

  • Thanks, Pamela and Steve, for an inspiring evening! I enjoyed the contrast between your presentations and I got a lot out of both.

I feel that I finally have a way to understand what draws clients to me, which clients I prefer and how and why projects are successful. Quite an accomplishment for 3 hours! I expect to market myself differently than before... and with a lot more confidence!

I will keep an eye on what you both are doing in the future and look for opportunities to refer you. Thanks again.

  • Thanks, Pamela for this wise advice. I would add that you can actually take more than just a moment to "pause" and consider your answer. Sometimes I will tell a questioner that I can't give them a good answer right now and I'd like to take a day to think it over.

    Great reminder!

  • Kristen, what wonderful watchwords you have given us. Some of these are new to me and some reinforce things I get lazy about ;-)

I am fortunate to know Kristen and her business partner Karla and have watched them build their amazing business, Affirmagy, from a dream and an idea. I can say that Kristen walks her talk, 100%!

    You go, girl!!

  • Fantastic article, Molly,

I especially like the suggestion to take stock after a particularly good or bad experience - especially the good ones, because those reinforce your own positive self-assessment. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Thanks so much for this very well-presented and useful info. I recently learned about a site that explains lots of tech topics via short movies. They are extremely useful and entertaining as well. It's where I learned about RSS. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/user/leelefever

    And thanks again!
