  • Snohomish Wedding event Feedback

I know there will be a formal survey sent out but thought it would be nice to share our perspectives from our various venue viewpoints and client feedback.

Overall for the first year, I think it was a success! Thank you to Debbie and those of you who organized the event.

We can take what we learned from this first year and use that information to make each coming year even better. The main thing we seemed to come across at our venue location North Snohomish Depot is that there may be an issue with people being able to make it to every venue in the time frame of the day doing the limo service. I would be curious to know how many people actually visited every venue and turned in their card for the drawings. We had some women who with 2 hours to go at 4 PM had only seen 8 venues and started at 11:30 with the limos.

Was there a place on the website that listed what the prize drawing included? I did not see that on the website. Several people asked and I didn't know what to tell them the prize was, only that I had donated towards it and it included many items and services.

As a caterer/vendor, I would love to have the opportunity to see every venue and also see what the other vendors are offering for networking and referrals. I know this possibility was brought up at the last meeting and please let us know if this is something that is in the works. Thanks again for everyones work on making this event happen!

  • Food Entrepreneurs unite!

I have belonged to several Chef organizations and would like to expand the networking to include people who really are entrepreneurs at heart and are foodies!

I'd like to organize a forum where those interested in local food production could have a place to share ideas on marketing, local sources, packaging or various day to day operations that are unique to the food industry.

  • Hi Everyone! Debra from Seattle area

I'm a recent new member to Biznik and in the process of expanding my business and growing in new directions. I have been in business since 1997 with a Gourmet Meal Delivery and Catering business - Chef to Go. We offer online ordering for people who are too busy to cook and want to eat well. http://www.mychefdelivers.com

My new venture is called The Culinary Cooperative. As a chef with a commercial kitchen I was constantly getting requests from people to rent out my kitchen to them as certified commercial kitchen space is very hard to find in the Seattle area. We are in the process of building out a 4400 square foot space that will be able to have about 25 businesses at 6 different cook stations. Our kitchen will be for food entrepreneurs and local culinary artisans who need a place to create their local food products. It's been a long time goal of mine to find a way to give back to our community and The Culinary Cooperative will also be housing a non-profit food based charity. Our first outreach as a group of chefs will be to teach classes to the recipients of the local food banks. We want to show them how to take a few items off the shelves at the food bank and by adding a few fresh inexpensive ingredients, they can create several different healthy meals for their families. Our anticipated launch will be this fall, most likely in November. If you know anyone who needs kitchen space, please send them my way!
